stroke and turn class for those who are almost ready to join our
competitive team.
Copper Group (2 days per week)

swimming group for athletes making the transition from an
instructional program to competitive swimming. This program is for
athletes 5-10 years of age who are legal in two strokes and have
knowledge of all four strokes. The Copper group swimmers practice
twice per week for 45 minutes each session.

week)
The Bronze I Group is also an "entry level" competitive swimming
group for athletes 7-11 years of age. This program is tailored for
athletes who are "legal" in three strokes and fairly proficient in
two strokes. The Bronze I program targets young swimmers who are
new to USA Swimming and want a fun avenue to enhance their
abilities. Swimmers are encouraged, but not required to compete in
competitions. The Bronze II program is designed for returning

Competitive Prep (up to 4 days per
week)
This program is an entry-level competative program for athleters
ages 10-14. This is an introductory program to our Year Round Swim
Team. Our experienced instructors will be teaching
competitive skills for all 4 strokes. Swimmers entering this
program will be placed on age and ability level. This is
great for the swimmer that is interested in getting their feet
wet in the world of competitive swimming. The athletes in this
group have a working knowledge of all four strokes, are
"legal" in three strokes and fairly proficient in two. These
swimmers have either participated in summer league, or are
preparing for the summer leaque season. Practices are offered 4
days per week for 1 1/4 hours per session. The main purpose of this
group is to give those swimmers who have swimming skills continued
aerobic training along with emphasis on stroke technique that will
allow them to advance into the other FLEET programs as well as high
school swimming. This group has no competitive requirements,
although if a swimmer wishes to compete they may.
Silver Group (5 days per week)
The Silver Group is an intermediate competitive swimming group for
swimmers 9-12 years of age. This group trains 5 days per week for 1
1/2 hour sessions. This group is tailored for swimmers who have
achieved basic skills in swimming and have an understanding of
training requirements. The Silver program specifically targets
young swimmers who have participated in competitive situations and
are able to perform advanced training sets in practice. The Silver
group has an expectation of competing in USA Swimming meets.

11-14 years of age. The Gold program trains 5-6 days per week for 1
3/4 hours per session and is a year-round program. The Gold group
swimmers should have a working knowledge of training, are able to
use more advanced training equipment, are capable of setting
defined goals and are continuing to improve their technique in all
four competitive strokes. The Gold group has a competitive time
requirement to be included in this group.
High School Supplemental Group (4 Days per
week)
The Senior Group program provides supplemental training for
swimmers that compete for their respective high school teams, but,
do not necessarily compete in USA Swimming meets. The program is
open to all Junior Varsity and Varsity athletes that are working
toward achieving success at their various high school competitions.

sessions. Swimmers have the option to compete in USA Swim meets in
this group.

swimmers 12-18 years and older. This program is tailored for
swimmers who have dedicated themselves to the sport of swimming,
are capable of performing more difficult training sets in practice
and want to enhance their competitive swimming careers. In addition
to the age requirement, entry into this group requires times
recorded in competition as well as in training sessions. Because of
training and competitive requirements, swimmers in the junior
program do not participate in summer league swimming. The junior
program swimmer trains a minimum of six times per week for 2 1/4
hours and is involved in the program year round.
Senior Group (6 days per week) The senior
group is an advanced program for experienced competitive swimmers
for 13 years and older. This program is tailored for swimmers
who have dedicated themselves to the sport of swimming, and are
capable of performing more difficult training sets in practice and
want to prepare themselves for the Elite program.
Elite Group (6 days per week)

FLEET. It is for experienced year round swimmers ages 13 and older
who have achieved upper level time status in competition and
practice sets and have dedicated themselves to the sport. The
program targets swimmers who are training to prepare themselves for
competition at the state, regional or national level and/or a
collegiate swimming career. An Elite program swimmer trains a
minimum of eight to eleven times per week for 2 1/2 hours per
session during a typical in-season practice session.
